When people come across my work today as a Manhood Coach, they often ask: Why this path?
The truth is, this journey didn’t come from a place of comfort or ease. It came from a place of brokenness, hard lessons, and a deep desire to walk alongside boys, young men, and fathers so they don’t have to figure it all out the hard way.
Today, boys don’t need more information or academic achievements.
They need impartation — they need men who will show up, guide, mentor, and walk with them as they navigate what it really means to become a man.
That’s the heart of what I do. And I’d like to share a glimpse of what this looks like in practice.
My Approach: How I Support Parents, Families, and Their Boys / Teens
1️⃣ The Consult — Finding Fit
Every journey begins with a no-charge consult.
This is where we take time to explore whether I can genuinely help, and whether the parents feel confident and comfortable partnering with me.
At this stage, we identify the best entry point to engage the teen — keeping in mind that your son might not be excited or ready right away. Together, we form a tentative strategy — one that stays adaptable and open to adjustments as we progress.
2️⃣ Engaging the Teen
With alignment in place, I begin building rapport and trust with your son.
This is about creating a safe, open space where he can understand why I’m here and what we’re working towards together.
At this stage, parental involvement may step back slightly — not to go “hands off,” but to give space for connection without added pressure or power dynamics.
3️⃣ Co-Creating the Outcome
This is where meaningful change begins.
Together, we work towards an outcome that your son sees value in — not just what we adults believe is right.
This often requires families to shift from:
❌ “He’s the problem to fix”
✅ To: “What’s our shared hope, where struggles happen less?”
It’s about building new patterns of interaction, reducing conflict, and focusing on small, achievable steps forward.
This shift opens doors to collaboration, understanding, and lasting growth.
Why This Approach Works
In my experience — especially working with boys and young men in cultures where “saving face” and male stereotypes run deep — this approach helps us skip the ego battles and power plays.
Instead, we create space for real growth, real connection, and real purpose.
And by the time we reach this stage, most families are on a strong enough footing to continue confidently, with minimal intervention.
