Joe Chan is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) with over two decades of experience dedicated to the growth and development of young people. With a background deeply rooted in social work, youth mentoring, and coaching, Joe has spent his professional life empowering youth and their families, helping them overcome life challenges and build strong foundations for their futures.

Graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Joe’s career began at REACH Community Services Society in Singapore, where he significantly contributed to developing youth programs, eventually becoming the Head of Department for REACH Youth Service. His extensive experience includes casework, counseling, mentoring, training, strategic leadership, and program development, all designed to provide holistic support to young people and their families.

As a certified Solution-Focused Coach, Joe believes strongly in an approach centered around resilience, growth, and authenticity. His coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of genuine mentorship and positive role modeling—values he actively promotes as the Founder and Director of Ark of Hope Pte Ltd, providing coaching and training for youth, parents, and professionals.

Joe has consistently been involved in professional and voluntary initiatives, including roles with the Youth Work Association Singapore, Mentoring Alliance Singapore (Mentoring SG), and the International Coach Federation’s Singapore Chapter, advocating for the growth of youth work and coaching practices.

Today, Joe’s mission is sharpened into a unique calling as a Manhood Coach, focusing specifically on guiding boys through purposeful rites of passage, mentoring and coaching them towards responsible adulthood. He is deeply committed to reviving the tradition of intentional male mentorship, equipping young men with the discipline, resilience, and purpose necessary for life’s challenges.

In his personal time, Joe passionately pursues martial arts, dragon boating, CrossFit, and running, embodying the discipline and resilience he teaches. He is married, a father of two teenage boys, and deeply motivated by his personal experiences and professional journey to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young men.
